What is 'The Box'?
Back in high school I knew a kid who, instead of using a
backpack, would use a cardboard box to carry his books and papers in.
This was overall a good idea, it provided easy access to all his papers
and books, as well as built up his muscles from carrying it all day.
He could decorate his box in any way he wanted.
Securing it with a mesh of duct-tape and staples, he put stickers on it
and people could write messages and draw on it. People admired him for
his genius and his clever box, simply because it was a good idea.
The box was so simple, and it occurred to me that there
are so many good ideas out there, and that a place was needed to
recognize them all. So I figured; why not make a box of my own? A
digital box that I can share with the world! One that I can keep all
the good ideas in.
So welcome to The Box.
My guess is, we're behind the times. The picture above takes place in the new century 1900, way back then they had figured that top hats would never lose style, and that we would never need to walk. Given, we have Segways, but they're expensive, and too geeky for the common person.
Don't worry, electric skateboards are here to save the day, and restore the hope that we had back in the nineteenth-century.
Sleek, stylish, and fun, that's what its all about. Most of the electric skateboards I've seen go anywhere from 12 to 24 miles per hour, and usually get ten miles to a charge. Given you can't really do a kickflip, but these little things will get you from Point A to Point B fast. Electric Skateboards go for as low as $200.
